The Ayakulik River receives the first fish runs on Kodiak Island with the sockeye salmon entering in mid May. June, July and mid-August is excellent for bear and wildlife vieiwng along with the fishing!

Lodging is modest, warm and comfortable. Cabin buildings host the kitchen and dining area where your cook will provide delicious meals, homemade breads and outstanding desserts. Bedrooms for two to three guests with twin size bedding, shared shower room with hot water provided by on demand propane heater, wood stoves for heat, electricity provided by diesel generator, outside solar lighting for decking and stairways, wifi and satellite phone and outside clean and neat privies with an outstanding view of the ocean. The main amenities at the Ayakulik River is the abundant wildlife, outstanding fishing and the isolated location where one can fully enjoy a true Alaskan vacation without the "crowds".
