The Ayakulik River receives the first fish runs on Kodiak Island with the sockeye salmon entering in May. June, July and mid-August is excellent for vieiwng the bears in concentrated numbers fishing for abundant runs of sockeye and pink salmon next to the mouth of the Ayakulik River!!
It's never too early to plan your Alaskan vacation of a lifetime!



Lodging is modest, warm and comfortable.  Cabin buildings host the kitchen and dining area where your cook will provide delicious meals, homemade breads and outstanding desserts.  Bedrooms for two to three guests with twin size bedding, shared shower room with hot water provided by on demand propane heater, wood stoves for heat, electricity provided by diesel generator, outside solar lighting for decking and stairways, wifi and satellite phone and outside clean and neat privies with an outstanding view of the ocean.  The main amenities at the Ayakulik River is the abundant wildlife, outstanding fishing and the isolated location where one can fully enjoy a true Alaskan vacation without the "crowds".
